The candidate will have demonstrated technical skill in designing building HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems and components, preparing engineering calculations, energy studies, developing estimates, editing specifications, and selection of fan, pump, and other major equipment. The candidate should have the ability to design HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial and government facilities. The candidate will also have demonstrated interpersonal skills through experience interfacing with clients, engineers, architects and others of varying technical abilities. Must be able to work effectively within a team environment and be able to lead and mentor designer level staff on all of their responsibilities. The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You will have an opportunity to oversee HVAC, piping, plumbing and fire protection design. Your responsibilities will include writing specifications, meeting engineering budgets and designing to clients' construction budget, reviewing preliminary design and financial analysis to evaluate design alternatives, mentoring and training engineers, ensuring compliance with codes and communicating with clients and other disciplines.  The successful candidate will possess 8-10 years of experience, a BSME and PE.

Qualifications:

At least 8 years experience with a background in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design.

Strong communication/client interface skills.

Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Ability to work cooperatively with others

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills required.

AutoCADD, HVAC and Piping software experience a plus.

Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain Security Clearance.

PE required.
